Information on different therapies
BrainWorking Recursive Therapy® (BWRT®)
BrainWorking Recursive Therapy® (BWRT®) is a modern, neuroscience-based therapeutic approach that works by helping the brain ‘update’ unhelpful emotional responses and is particularly effective for anxiety, fears, phobias, trauma responses, emotional regulation challenges and unwanted behavioural patterns.
BWRT® therapy for children and adolescents uses a structured yet gentle process that allows the brain to create a more appropriate, calm, and adaptive response to old triggers. It’s a non-invasive, content-free therapy, meaning the child or adolescents doesn't have to talk at length about what’s upsetting or confusing them.
BWRT® can also be highly effective for parents themselves—supporting them in managing stress, anxiety, past trauma, or parenting blocks that may be affecting their emotional availability and confidence.

DIR Floortime
DIR®/Floortime is a relationship-based developmental approach designed to support the emotional, social, and cognitive development of children. DIR®/Floortime stands for Developmental, Individual-differences, and Relationship-based and is a model that sees a child as a whole person, not just a set of behaviours. Rather than focusing on surface behaviours, DIR therapists consider how the child experiences the world, how they process information, and how they relate to others. Floortime emphasizes meaningful interactions and emotional connections. It involves meeting the child at their current developmental level and using play and relationships to build the foundations for learning, communication, skills training and emotional growth.
