Private Practice in Ballito
Taryn is qualified/ professional Registered Counsellor with a Master Degree in Psychology. She has a private practice in Ballito and is trained in advanced-level DIR Floortime therapy, Gestalt Play Therapy and level one BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT®). She has been practicing since 2010 and is passionate about supporting children, adolescents and families and seeing them thrive. Taryn is registered Registered with the SA Health Professional Council (HPCSA).
ABOUT
Taryn Holding
Taryn completed her undergraduate studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (Pietermaritzburg) in 1998. She went on to complete her PGCE in 2001 and qualified as a Primary School Teacher. After teaching in London, she qualified as a project manager and worked in corporate roles for six years before undertaking her Psychology Honours degree in 2005.
After returning to South Africa, she completed her B. Psych qualification and Health Professions Council Board Exam in 2010. Following this she completed her Master’s in Psychology with her dissertation focusing on Positive Psychology approaches to parental support. Taryn is also trained in advanced-level DIR Floortime therapy and Level one BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT®).
